Responsibilities
- architect and oversee the global compliance framework for the cross-border movement of advanced technologies.
- lead and manage a multi-regional team (NORAM, LATAM, APAC, EMEA).
- ensure full compliance across the product lifecycle—from development to global deployment.
- identify and mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks.
Global Operational & Tactical Excellence
- trade Intelligence: Conduct in-depth regulatory research in emerging markets to support global expansion.
- advanced Due Diligence: Execute comprehensive due diligence and Denied Party Screening (PII) in alignment with global legal standards.
- SLA Management: Oversee approval of critical trade documentation (CI, PL, AWB) and Dangerous Goods shipments within a strict 24-hour global SLA.
- 3PL & Partner Governance: Manage and hold Third-Party Logistics providers and customs brokers accountable through performance reporting and business reviews.
- fiscal accountability: Manage global trade budgets, optimize costs, and mitigate risks related to demurrage, fines, and tariffs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of senior leadership experience in Global Trade Compliance.
- proven experience managing compliance for high-value, proprietary hardware or technology across multiple regions.
- strong track record of operating across NORAM, LATAM, APAC, and EMEA markets.
- bachelor’s degree in Law, International Trade, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- deep expertise in FCPA, Anti-Bribery regulations, Export/Import Controls (EAR/ITAR), and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
- experience with AI-driven or automated compliance tools.
- hands-on experience with SAP Logistics and Compliance modules.
- strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous regulatory environments.
- excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex compliance topics into business language for executive stakeholders.
