Procurement & Sourcing Specialist — Remote (Russian-speaking)

About the Role
Konex is looking for an experienced Procurement & Sourcing Specialist to work fully remotely. You will own the full procurement cycle — from market research and supplier discovery in China and India through to shipment oversight, logistics coordination, and customs clearance. The ideal candidate knows how to build strong relationships with Asian vendors, understands international trade documentation, and communicates fluently in Russian.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyse supplier markets in China and India: benchmark pricing, quality standards, and delivery terms
- Identify, vet, and qualify new suppliers; negotiate commercial terms and contracts
- Manage the full deal cycle from RFQ issuance through contract execution and payment
- Track production progress and shipment status; align timelines with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Oversee shipments end-to-end: readiness dates, carrier booking, freight coordination
- Review and reconcile commercial and transport documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.)
- Coordinate with third-party quality control contractors for factory audits and pre-shipment inspections
- Manage logistics: route selection, freight forwarder liaison, delivery scheduling
- Control customs clearance: document preparation, customs broker communication, dispute resolution
- Maintain up-to-date records of orders, suppliers, and shipments in CRM/ERP or shared spreadsheets
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, international trade, or foreign economic activity (ВЭД)
- Proven track record of working with Chinese and/or Indian suppliers — required
- Solid knowledge of Incoterms and international payment methods (LC, T/T, D/P)
- Experience with trade and customs documentation
- Comfortable communicating with Asian vendors via email, WeChat, WhatsApp
- Russian — native or fluent; English — at least Intermediate (business correspondence)
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities independently
Nice to Have
- Mandarin Chinese language skills
- Experience with inspection agencies (SGS, Bureau Veritas, QIMA, or similar)
- Background in construction materials, furniture, or FF&E
- Familiarity with sourcing platforms: Alibaba, 1688, IndiaMART
