Assistant Trade Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, international trade, engineering, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of experience preferably in in dry bulk materials trading, and a strong understanding of cementitious and/or solid fuel is highly valued.
- Excellent command of the English language is essential. Any additional language is an asset.
- Self-motivated individual with strong teamwork skills and exceptional communication abilities
- Proven track record of adaptability, solution-oriented mindset, flexibility, and diligence.
- Demonstrated customer-centric approach (internal and external stakeholders).
- Willingness to travel internationally for business needs.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and multicultural environment with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize tasks
- A dedicated team player displaying corporate professionalism, willing to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating procurement and sales activities related to cementitious, solid fuel and other associated dry bulk commodities for designated markets.
- Key account management – expanding relationships with existing clients and taking ownership of business development initiatives to onboard new clients.
- Collaborating with suppliers and customers to track market developments, assess developing trends and provide inputs for analysis and forecasting.
- Coordinate effectively with cross geographical and cross functional internal teams (Shipping and Documentation) to ensure optimal service quality for external customers.
- Ensuring compliance with the contractual obligations, operating procedures and Code of Business Conduct of HM Trading and other contracted parties.
- Coordinating efforts with offices located in Heidelberg, Istanbul, Singapore, and Miami.
- Forecasting purchase volumes to enable effective budgeting and planning within the designated trading area.
- Assisting traders in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Researching and analyzing customs and trade data, providing comprehensive reports.
- Contributing to strategic decisions, profit maximization, and international market share in trading operations.
- Collecting and presenting international market insights to aid management in planning and development.
