Supply Chain Analyst:
The Supply Chain Analyst will support Emerson’s 5-year strategic growth plan in MEA, performing day-to-day regional procurement and logistics activities. In addition, this role will focus on specialized requirements of metering skids industry. This includes navigating complex engineering requirements and ensuring that procurement activities align with project specifications and timelines. In this role, you will be required to work with the local and global teams across business units and functions to implement supply chain improvement programs inclusive of tactical sourcing, cost out, regionalization, supply optimization and contract management. The role will be based out of MEA Headquarters in Dubai!
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Source various categories of indirect material including MRO and services to deliver the best total cost with minimum risk to Emerson.
- Source and procure materials and components crucial to metering skids (including valves, flow meters, pressure sensors, and related instrumentation) at competitive prices, improving profitability for business unit and satisfactory quality levels through selection of quality vendors.
- Handle end to end RFx process, building Opportunity/RFQ Tracker, Quote and Approved Vendor List (AVL) repositories.
- Partner with customers to ensure clear requirement's documentation to issue RFx maximizing use of AVL and Preferred Supplier List (PSL).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and verify technical specifications for metering skids and related components.
- Negotiate with suppliers using structured process and in elemental detail for increasing Emerson’s value, while following the principle of outcome where everybody wins.
- Optimize payment terms and drive DPO improvement.
- Develop strong Supplier-Emerson relationship, finding strategic ways to collaborate beyond a transaction to improve range of opportunities and position Emerson as a preferred customer.
- Evaluate suppliers for capability in manufacturing components to meet the rigorous standards required for precision metering applications.
- Support and participate with other functional departments in procurement of services and materials, including continuous improvement programs, researching markets, generating/validating scope and specifications, contract development, administration, and grievance resolution.
- Liaise with legal for contract management to minimize Emerson’s exposure to risk.
- Assist with logistics activities and MIC support for Global Sales MEA XBU Functional shipments.
- Manage local customs requirements, registrations, permits, websites memberships and accesses required for import and export across MEA.
- Master Data Management for logistics assets ensuring accuracy, consistency, and real-time accessibility.
- Assist in procure to pay process, resolving Invoice/Payment issues along with other supplier disputes.
- Demonstrate very high level of integrity and drive compliance to the Emerson Code of Ethics

For this Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management or related field.
- At least 3 years relevant work experience in a matrix organization, in sectors such as oil and gas, chemical processing or utilities.
- Proven track record in supplier management and negotiation, particularly with vendors that supply highly technical equipment.
- Proficiency in English Language.
Preferred qualification that set you apart:
- Experience as a technical buyer with focus on metering skids and related instrumentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications catering to metering systems.
- Logistics experience, handling material movement and customs.
- Exposure to e-sourcing platforms and setting up RFQs, e.g. SAP Ariba.
- Experience with ERP, e.g. Oracle.
- CIPS or CIPP/PM or CSCP Professional Certification
