Responsibilities
Al Abbar Aluminium is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Purchase Specialist with proven experience in sourcing and procuring aluminium profiles, facade systems, and associated hardware. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships.
Procurement Operations
- Source and procure aluminium materials, hardware and accessories as per project specifications.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
Supplier Coordination and Follow-up
- Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers
- Track and follow up on order confirmations, dispatch schedules and delivery timelines
- Ensure timely receipt of packing lists, invoices and sipping documents
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, and delivery status.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with import/export regulations and internal standards.
- Coordinate with logistics and customs teams for smooth clearance and delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business administration, supply chain management, or economics
- Practical experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Experience in vendor selection, evaluation, and management
- The ability to analyze and evaluate vendor proposals and contracts
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing with vendors.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Accuracy and attention to detail for ensuring compliance and minimizing errors.
- Must be able to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and procurement software
- Knowledge of relevant procurement regulations and laws
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
