We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that all company activities related to the import, handling, storage, and distribution of food, pastry, and bakery products comply with local and international trade regulations, customs laws, and food safety management systems.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
1- Ensure compliance of order documentation (direct or third-party), monitor the full order flow, and maintain continuous communication with all relevant departments.
2- Monitor and ensure adherence to all import/export regulations, including UAE customs laws, food regulatory authorities, and international trade agreements.
3- Prepare, verify, and manage import/export documentation, including shipping papers, health certificates, and customs declarations.
4- Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory agencies such as Dubai Municipality, Customs, and Chamber of Commerce.
5- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure proper product classification, valuation, and labeling.
6- Stay up to date with changes in local, regional, and international trade and food import regulations.
7- Support internal and external audits related to trade compliance and food safety, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
