Who are we looking for:
A Senior Operations Executive is responsible for handling end-to-end Sea freight operations and processes. The role involves coordinating with shipping lines, seaport authorities, customs authorities, and any other vendors or the government. Departments relevant to Sea freight operations. Additionally, the executive will support clients through timely issue resolution and manage escalations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibility Description
- Manage end-to-end sea freight operations, including import, export, Cross-trade and transshipment shipments.
- Coordinate with vendors (shipping lines, agents, customs brokers, etc.) and clients to ensure smooth cargo movement.
- Prepare and review shipping documents such as BLs, customs declarations, and other relevant documentation.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve operational issues, delays, or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, UAE customs laws, and company policies.
- Liaise with sales and Pricing teams to provide seamless client support.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and operational reports.
- Obtain vendor invoices promptly and track them, ensuring timely payments to vendors in coordination with the finance team.
- Supervise Project cargo operations at the Port, Customs, Loading/Unloading sites.
What makes you unique?
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in sea freight operations within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of sea freight operations, including UAE customs requirements, shipping lines, ports, and the Dubai Trade portal.
- Experience in handling FCL/ LCL shipments, Spl. Equipment, Spl. Category goods, Project, Breakbulk, Ro/Ro & freight documentation.
- Proficiency in working with SCM/ERP systems, MS Office.
- UAE driving license is Mandatory
- Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills
