About the Role
We are looking for a Shipping & Logistics Specialist to manage shipping, freight, and logistics operations for large-scale commodity cargo. The role focuses on coordinating vessel movements, managing port operations, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective shipment execution.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in maritime shipping, bulk cargo logistics, and international trade documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Charter vessels and negotiate freight rates with shipping companies
• Coordinate cargo loading and unloading operations at ports
• Manage port documentation and customs clearance procedures
• Track shipments and monitor cargo movement to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with traders, suppliers, and port agents for smooth shipment execution
• Monitor and control demurrage and logistics costs
Requirements
• Proven experience in maritime shipping or commodity logistics
• Strong understanding of bulk cargo vessel operations
• Experience negotiating with shipping lines and vessel operators
• Good knowledge of international shipping documentation and port procedures
• Strong coordination and operational management skills
