The role supports on-site warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-efficient movement of goods across domestic and international lanes.
Primary title: Logistics Supervisor
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch to meet on-time delivery targets.
- Lead, coach, and schedule warehouse staff; enforce HSE protocols and maintain a safe, productive on-site environment.
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers; ensure accurate shipping and customs documentation.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, discrepancy investigation, and reconciliation to maintain stock integrity.
- Operate and maintain WMS transactions; drive process improvements to reduce lead times, minimize errors, and optimize storage utilization.
- Prepare daily/weekly KPI reports (OTD, inventory accuracy, dock productivity) and escalate operational issues to management with recommended corrective actions.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience supervising warehouse/logistics operations in the UAE or GCC market
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and UAE customs clearance procedures
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, basic reporting)
- Hands-on experience with inventory control and cycle counting processes
- Valid UAE driving licence and ability to coordinate ground transport operations
Preferred
- Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP integration
- Forklift operator certification
- Prior exposure to managing 3PL relationships and SLAs
