Job Purpose:
Oversee and monitor a wide variety of ordering, logistics & warehouse activities for Parts department of Western Motors. Manage ordering, shipping and receiving of goods and maintain inventory, associated records, provide guidance and support to the warehouse team in the daily operations to ensure goods stored in the facilities are protected and well maintained till they are ready for customer delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
- Planning & Operations: Plan and implement stock forecast in co-ordination with the Parts Sales Supervisor and Parts Manager of the business units and maintain an optimal inventory level. Project stock requirements based on the demand and prevailing market conditions in conjunction with Parts Manager and Parts Sales Supervisor. Assign Heavy Duty Drivers to deliver the parts to customers in most efficient manner taking into account customer requirements. Inspect the vehicles and controls vehicle log is regularly kept.
- Warehouse Management: Ensure parts storage is carried out in most effective manner and in accordance with good warehousing procedures to enable optimal utilization of available warehouse space. Ensure safety of warehouse staff by promoting and enforcing usage of appropriate protective equipment.
- Ordering: Propose order requests to Parts Manager based on historical Sales Data, Actual Sales and current market trends to ensure orders are placed correctly and in a timely manner. Observe principal’s annual purchase volume target and creating corresponding monthly order proposals.
- Inventory Management: Oversee all parts warehousing operations. Maintain accuracy in inventory levels to optimize inventory costs and align stock to the assigned Budget. Ensure that Special Parts Stocks (SPS) and Vendor Managed Inventories (VMI) are regularly inventoried.
- Reports: Monitor and ensure consistency of warehouse reports and data. Draw conclusions and prepares recommendations for process improvement/optimization to Parts Manager.
- Team Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, coach, counsel, provide support and necessary tools. Create and ensure implementation of training plans and programs to enable team to accomplish their tasks efficiently. Ensure hiring of required manpower including department managers as per the plan to facilitate smooth operation of the department.
Qualification:
- Diploma in Business, Engineering or equivalent.
- Expert in Excel and other Ms Office applications
- Familiar with Autoline, SAP or other DMS
- UAE Driving License holder Experience
Experience:
- 5 – 6 years of minimum experience in a warehousing/logistics operations within the commercial/heavy duty automotive industry.
- 2 years of minimum experience should be on supervisory level.
