Role Purpose:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods across the supply chain—from suppliers to warehouses, and ultimately to retail outlets or customers. This role manages import/export documentation, coordinates with vendors and freight partners, and ensures timely and efficient delivery of shipments while maintaining accurate records.
Key responsibilities:
- Shipment Coordination
- Coordinate cargo pick-up, loading, and tracking with suppliers and freight forwarders.
- Monitor shipment progress to ensure on-time delivery to designated warehouses.
- Liaise with transport providers for urgent or scheduled deliveries.
- Customs & Documentation
- Prepare and verify all required documentation for customs clearance. o Maintain accurate records for all import and export transactions.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures
- Internal Communication & Support
- Share shipment status updates and documentation with Warehouse, Buying, Finance, and relevant internal departments.
- Report any discrepancies in goods received against purchase orders.
- Generate reports for container deliveries and provide regular status updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with logistics software is an advantage.
