Position Summary:
As the Freight Forwarding Manager at HLOG Dubai, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the full freight forwarding operations, ensuring seamless logistics services from booking, dispatch, and customs clearance to delivery, you will ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with local and international regulations, while also driving the commercial aspects of the business to generate revenue and grow the client base.
Key Responsibilities:
-Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day freight forwarding operations; ensure all freight is moved according to the agreed timelines and customer requirements.
-Supplier and Carrier Coordination: Negotiate rates, manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party vendors.
-Customs Compliance: Ensure that all shipments meet UAE customs regulations, ensuring timely customs clearance and proper documentation.
Customer Relationship Management: Communicate with clients to understand their needs and resolve any issues, providing a high level of customer service.
Commercial Responsibilities:
-Identify new business opportunities and work to expand the client base for freight forwarding services.
-Develop and execute strategies to attract clients, including personalized service offerings.
-Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients.
-Meet and exceed sales targets to drive revenue growth.
Managing responsibilities:
-Manage freight forwarding budgets, ensure operational costs are kept under control while maintaining profitability.
-Develop and implement best practices, improve operational workflows, and ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.
-Lead, motivate, and manage a team of logistics staff; foster a positive working environment focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of freight operations, inventory, and financial performance to report to senior management.
-Reporting to the top management;
Requirements:
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, ideally in the UAE or similar regions 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of global freight forwarding processes, customs regulations, and supply chain logistics.
- Proven experience in tenders management;
- Commercial mindset with experience in generating business and meeting sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and profitability management.
- Knowledge of logistics software and systems.
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Fluency in English, knowledge of Arabic or French is a plus.
