ABOUT THE JOB
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end movement of goods and information throughout the supply chain, ensuring that customer expectations are met with efficiency and accuracy. This position requires a strategic mindset to develop and implement time and cost-effective logistics solutions that support both service excellence and delivery performance. You will be responsible for overseeing key operational functions, including stock replenishment and the use of electronic inventory management systems, ensuring inventory levels are optimized and processes run smoothly. By continuously refining logistics processes, you will play a vital role in improving overall supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and couriers to schedule timely collections and deliveries, ensuring alignment with project deadlines.
- Oversee the domestic and international movement of goods in compliance with relevant regulations and prepare shipping documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations, adherence to processes, and achievement of delivery targets.
- Develop strategic, time and cost-effective solutions to address ad hoc logistics needs.
- Provide timely updates to customers on order status, shipments, and inquiries, including issue resolution when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics coordination or a related role within the supply chain sector.
- Strong knowledge of international and local shipping regulations, customs procedures, and related documentation.
- Familiarity with MOFAIC and the Dubai Chambers of Commerce Portal for U.A.E.-specific logistics and trade compliance activities.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in import records and procedural documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Proven accuracy in inventory monitoring, reconciliation, and data maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong skills in data management, analysis, and reporting.
This position includes a six-month probationary period, with a strong potential for transition into a permanent role based on performance.
