ALS Global Shipping & Logistics LLC is hiring an Import and Export Manager to oversee and optimize the execution of our operations in the UAE / GCC. The ideal candidate will ensure that client and agent shipments are processed efficiently, documentation is handled accurately, and all activities align with ALS’s global service standards as well as Dubai customs standards.
Key Responsibilities:
The Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day import and export operations, coordinating shipments, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with international trade and Dubai customs regulations.
- Supervise day-to-day cargo movements (Air, Sea, Land)
- Coordinate with partner agents and internal teams on bookings, compliance, and tracking
- Manage documentation, billing, customs coordination, and SOP adherence
- Lead onboarding and training for new agent partners
- Monitor service levels and implement continuous improvements
Requirements:
- Certified Customs Expert - Dubai
- IATA Cargo Management / FIATA Diploma in International Freight Forwarding / CTLP or any equivalent qualification
- 2+ years in Air cargo operations in UAE
- 2+ years in freight forwarding/ logistics operations
- Experience handling FCL, LCL, air freight, and DDP/DDU shipments
- Proficient in logistics documentation and CRM platforms
- Detail-oriented and process-driven
- Strong coordination and communication skills
