As part of this development, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Dubai. This role is integral to ensuring seamless logistics operations in support of our new store openings and ongoing supply chain requirements.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize both inbound and outbound logistics processes. The successful candidate will possess solid experience in international shipping, regulatory documentation, supplier coordination, and freight cost management. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across markets.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery timelines.
- Accurately calculate shipment volumes for both air and sea freight and secure bookings accordingly.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates and manage space allocations with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Evaluate and select the most efficient shipping methods based on cost, time, and service levels.
- Provide real-time tracking updates and communicate proactively with internal stakeholders.
Shipping & Customs Documentation
- Prepare and validate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Ensure full compliance with international shipping regulations and required documentation standards.
- Manage SABER PCOC and SCOC submissions and ensure alignment with current regulatory procedures.
Supplier & Shipment Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers to monitor the status of shipments and address backorder issues.
- Maintain up-to-date shipment tracking logs and communicate changes or delays promptly.
Inventory & Warehouse Collaboration
- Maintain accurate inventory records in coordination with the warehouse team.
- Support proper handling, storage, and stock reconciliation processes to prevent discrepancies.
Internal Communication & Alignment
- Coordinate effectively with sales, procurement, finance, and production departments to ensure logistics align with business priorities.
- Communicate critical updates regarding shipping delays, customs holds, or routing changes.
Issue Resolution
- Investigate and resolve logistics-related issues, including delivery delays and documentation discrepancies.
- Propose and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
Compliance & Regulatory Monitoring
- Stay informed on international and local import/export regulations, tariffs, duties, and licensing requirements.
- Ensure consistent compliance with SABER and all other applicable regulatory frameworks.
Cost Management & Analytics
- Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvement strategies.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality and compliance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in international logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the retail industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Proficiency in English
