We are looking for an experienced Construction Site/Logistics Coordinatorto join our team for our construction projects in the Dubai, UAE. The role will be at site, supporting all projects coordination , construction materials suppliers management, Should have 5 years in the large-scale construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Construction Manager in day-to-day operations and site management.
- Source and procure raw materials, spare parts, equipment, and services to meet operational and project needs.
- Identify and evaluate potential Civil, MEP, suppliers and equipment rental suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and conditions with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors (scaffolding, manpower, equipment suppliers, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow.
- Oversee store management activities, including receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies, ensuring proper organization and security of inventory.
- Liaise with external stakeholders regarding PTWs (Permit to Work) and site/area access.
- Track and manage site personnel timesheets and working hours; maintain records and share this data with HR departments.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and filing systems (both electronic and hard copy) for site operations and project documentation.
- Oversee Site transportation logistics and assist with accommodation arrangements for site personnel. Coordinate with RTA for registration and renewal of the site vehicles/machinery.
- Proactively manage operational issues to minimise disruptions or shutdowns and assist in identifying and mitigating operational and financial risks.
- Coordinate mobilization of personnel and equipment to all project’s sites.
- Control office material supplies and ensure availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) for visitors and site staff.
- Coordinate and arrange passes from DDA, DEWA, RTA for site personnel and operations.
- Assist with preparing reports related to project manpower, equipment’s and assets.
- Manage and control snag lists, working closely with the Construction, T&C, and QA teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform general administrative duties, providing backup support for site operation.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards, adhering to all relevant regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Monitor vendor performance, resolve issues, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Monitor and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with agreed terms, timelines, and service levels.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Project/Site Coordinator or similar role, preferably within construction industries.
- Experienced in managing with Construction supplier activities.
- Previous experience on construction sites is a strong plus, as is an understanding of site operations and safety protocols.
- Highly structured, organized, and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment, collaborating with teams from varied backgrounds and disciplines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken formats.
- Willingness to support continuous improvement by seeking and implementing optimized ways to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required, proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
