About the Role
We are looking for a Sea Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team in Dubai. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ocean freight operations and can coordinate directly with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and monitor ocean shipments from booking to final delivery (FCL/LCL).
- Liaise daily with shipping lines, freight forwarders, depots, and customs brokers to secure schedules, space, and timely updates.
- Prepare and review shipping documents: BL, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, HS Codes.
- Maintain accurate milestone updates (ETD/ETA/ATD/ATA) and proactively escalate delays.
- Coordinate DO collection, port/terminal releases, and last-mile deliveries.
- Communicate shipment status to internal teams and clients with clear, on-time reporting.
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of sea/ocean freight coordination in the UAE (forwarder or shipper side).
- Strong follow-up, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Solid documentation accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
Nice to Have
- Experience with free zone processes (JAFZA, gate passes, FIRS/Municipality approvals).
- Exposure to major carriers (e.g., Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM) and depot operations.
- Familiarity with ERP/TMS (CargoWise, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
