Key Responsibilities
Monitor day-to-day operations across land, sea, and air transport, ensuring smooth movement of shipments.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly operational reports to the Operations Manager.
Handle shipment documentation and processes through Mirsal 2 and ensure compliance with customs clearance requirements.
Coordinate with vendors, shipping lines, and carriers to ensure timely movement of goods.
Maintain strong professional relationships with shipping lines and freight forwarders for cost optimization and service efficiency.
Address operational issues, resolve challenges proactively, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Negotiate with existing vendors to reduce costs while maintaining quality service and adding value to the company.
Oversee clearance procedures, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
Track shipments and provide timely updates to clients and management.
Ensure operational processes align with company standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Work closely with the accounts and customer service team to resolve queries related to shipments and costs.
Requirements & Skills
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in logistics and freight forwarding operations.
Strong knowledge of Mirsal 2, customs clearance procedures, and GCC logistics regulations.
Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an added advantage).
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting and correspondence.
Ability to handle pressure, solve problems, and manage operational challenges effectively.
Strong vendor negotiation skills with proven ability to optimize costs.
Flexibility to work extended hours when required to complete critical tasks.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking.
Team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
