Role Overview
We are seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join our Dubai logistics team. This role plays a key part in managing daily logistics activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods globally. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in international shipping coordination, freight documentation, and customs compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare freight quotations and coordinate booking of international shipments (air, sea, and courier) across Asia, GCC, and North America.
- Monitor and track shipments end-to-end, proactively communicating updates and resolving any transit or customs delays.
- Verify and apply correct HS codes, tariff classifications, and associated duty rates for imports and exports.
- Reconcile and validate freight and logistics invoices, ensuring accuracy and cost control.
- Maintain accurate shipment data and documentation in Haxlar’s internal system and ERP tools.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Support customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Prepare and maintain logistics KPIs, shipment reports, and cost analysis summaries.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce freight costs.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, customs documentation, and international trade compliance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Excel, shipment tracking tools, and logistics or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Experience with shipments related to industrial or metal components is a plus.
