Job Summary:
The Logistics and Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics and shipping operations of medical equipment and consumables. This role ensures timely import/export, customs clearance, inventory management, and on-time delivery to hospitals, clinics, and distributors while complying with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics & Purchase Coordination:
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound shipments (air, sea, and land).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents.
- Ensure documentation accuracy for import/export (invoice, packing list, COO, etc.).
- Track shipments and update relevant stakeholders proactively.
- Customs & Regulatory Compliance:
- Handle customs clearance and ensure compliance with UAE and international import/export regulations.
- Liaise with health authorities and ensure MOH / free zone approvals where required.
- Maintain accurate shipping and clearance records.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management:
- Support inventory control, goods receipt, and dispatch activities.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper handling and storage of medical equipment.
- Monitor stock movement and assist with cycle counts.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain shipping logs, delivery schedules, and logistics reports.
- Process supplier invoices and freight bills for payment approvals.
- Assist in logistics cost optimization and vendor performance tracking.
- Customer Service:
- Coordinate delivery schedules with sales and service teams.
- Ensure customer delivery deadlines are met and issues are resolved promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics/shipping, preferably in the medical equipment or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of import/export documentation and customs clearance procedures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good negotiation skills with freight and courier service providers.
