Role Description:
We are seeking an Operations Executive to manage the daily operations of customs clearance and logistics functions in Dubai. The successful candidate will have expertise in online customs clearance, shipment handling, and interaction with Dubai Customs. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customs Clearance: Oversee online customs clearance processes using the Dubai Trade Portal.
- Import Shipments: Manage the release of Delivery Orders (DO), cargo transfers, customs bill processing, and arrange for the delivery of goods.
- Export Shipments: Ensure proper inspection, documentation, and local transfer for export shipments.
- Customs Accounts Management: Handle CDR & DDR accounts and manage standing guarantees for temporary import shipments.
- Deposit Management: Facilitate the release of deposits from Dubai Customs' claim and refund section for temporary base shipments.
- TIB & VAT Knowledge: Demonstrate strong knowledge of Temporary Importation under Bond (TIB), Import for Re-export, and VAT claims procedures.
- Customer Advisory: Provide expert advice to customers regarding customs procedures, regulations, and related logistics processes.
- Customs Coordination: Liaise with Dubai Customs for inspection releases, exit/entry certificates, and guarantee claims.
- Tariff Code Scrutiny: Ensure accurate classification of goods and tariff codes to avoid customs fines and penalties.
- Client Interaction: Assist clients at the customs office during arrival/departure procedures, providing guidance as needed.
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare necessary customs bills and related documents accurately and promptly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in operations, logistics management, or customs-related roles.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Dubai Trade and customs regulations in Dubai and the UAE is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Dubai Customs processes and the Dubai Trade Portal.
Salary Range: (4000 AED - 4,500 AED)
